Their droppings are a health hazard as well as defacing building structures. The insects that feed off their droppings can also be a health hazard.

In wet wheather, pidgeon droppings on pathways and walkways can also be slippery.

Post & Wire Systems

Post and Wire is a discreet, low visual impact solution that is ideal for use on high profile buildings and structures where effectiveness versus appearance is a factor that must be carefully considered.

Once installed Post and Wire can be quickly refurbished after building decorations or alterations, without having to remove the entire system. Wires, springs and crimps can be de-mounted, prior to works commencing and reinstated or replaced at minimal expense to the owner, after works are complete.

Post and Wire systems are not appropriate for combating high-pressure bird infestations, where birds are roosting overnight or nesting.

Post and Wire can be used to proof against pigeons and gulls on light-to-medium-pressure infestations (surface mount system – light pressure only). It can also be used against Corvids (Crows, Ravens, Jackdaws, Rooks and Magpies using the gull version of the system).

Post and Wire systems are Ideal for use on ledges, parapets, signs, beams, parapet copings, pipes, hand rails, gutters & roof ridges etc.

Post and Wire systems provide the perfect solution for ornate building façades where the anti-perch system’s visual impact is an important factor to be taken into consideration. It is also a very economical method to use on deep ledges and sills where anti-perch spikes may be too costly.

The basic concept is to place thin stainless steel wires, tensioned with springs, just above the ledge or other feature used by the birds. The wires present a physical barrier to the birds’ normal landing behaviour and even if they do find a way to land, the unstable feel of the spring-loaded wires will deter all but the most persistent birds.

The wires are usually held in position by vertically mounted stainless steel posts, but numerous other fittings have been developed to enable the system to be used in many different situations.

Bird Netting

Bird netting works by excluding birds by stopping access.
A stainless or Galvanised wire is fixed around the area and the net is fixed to it.

Bird netting is manufactured in standard UV stabilised polyethylene or flame retardant material. Colour choices are black, stone & translucent.
Very effective in high pressure areas and has a very long life span .

Bird Spikes

Bird spikes are an anti-perch device used to protect linear surfaces including ridge tiles, parapets, ledges, gutters, beams, pipes, signs etc.

We have two types of bird spikes, stainless steel spikes with a polycarbonate base and all polycarbonate spikes. Both work equally well, however the polycarbonate spikes are slightly more visible.

The spikes come in a range of widths and spike densities depending on the depth of the area you are trying to protect.
Prior to ordering you will need to know the depth and length of the area you are protecting. Once you have these dimensions you will be able to make the appropriate choice of spike for your application.

Along the base of each strip of spikes there are snap-off points making it easy to fit the spikes in small areas to the exact size required.

Seagull spikes are 35mm taller than pigeon spikes, due to seagulls having longer legs, and will protect against both seagulls and pigeons. However, pigeon spikes will not protect against seagulls.

Bird Free Dishes

Bird Free ready-to-use dishes are low-profile (8mm high), and quick and easy to apply.

Bird Free keeps all birds off all structures without harming them. It does so by altering their behaviour, not by acting as a physical barrier.

Birds will completely desert a habitat, even one they have been using for years, once Bird Free has been applied.

Bird Free gel is applied in low-profile application dishes, only 8mm high.

One of its distinct advantages is that it deters birds from landing even when these dishes are placed behind the leading edge of a parapet or ledge.

This makes the dishes of Bird Free invisible from ground level, thus preserving the aesthetic appearance of the building, while at the same time keeping it clean.

Bird Free is quick and easy to install. It can be used indoors or outdoors and causes no damage to buildings or structures. Because of its firm texture, Bird Free can be applied vertically, or even upside down, without running.

Bird Free has been installed at thousands of commercial sites worldwide. These include airports, government offices, sports stadiums, railway stations, hospitals, factories, pylons, bridges, historic buildings, and many other locations where birds had previously been a nuisance or a health hazard.

Especially formulated to be durable, even in the most exposed locations, Bird Free is not adversely affected by extremes of temperature, nor by wind, rain or snow.
Bird Free’s deterrent effect on birds is long-lasting.

Left undisturbed, it will remain completely effective for at least three years after proper installation, even in the most exposed environment. Most installations will remain effective for considerably long time.
